clutch bypass on 2015 chevy sonic ls manual?

0 votes

I have a 2015 Chevy Sonic ls with manual transmission. Using EVO ONE. Every thing works except when I go to start the car with the oem remote the engine does not turn over. If I push the clutch pedal in, it will work. Followed installation instructions perfectly. Do i need to bypass the clutch sensor switch? Shouldn't the A5 white wire connected to the yellow clutch switch wire do this? I am using Thar-GM1 v2 harness.

Yes you need to bypass the clutch using either A4 or a5. That vehicle also requires a 180ohm resistor for the clutch bypass to function correctly.

I did not install the resistor but will tonight. Do just wire it inline with the white wire?
Correct.
Thanks Derek. You guys have awesome customer support. I will let you know how it goes after I install the resistor!
I have wired the resistor and still have to press the clutch to remote start..any suggestions?

if it start whens pushing clutch but does not start when you have your connection made then there is either still an issue the connection, or the output is not working.

Test the output on the evo should be negative when remote starting if that is good the issue lies in your wire/connection to the vehicle.
I checked the connection from the white wire to the yellow wire and the was no contact!! I used a bad t tap..now its hardwired with the resistor and works as described in the directions. Thanks for all the effort to help!!
