evo-all locking up

Working with a 2011 ford F250 super duty diesel, installed an evo-all and T-harness with a cm6000as. I used guide 32121. Seems like the evo locks up with i connect the data link cable from the compu. During the start sequence the ign on the brain powers up but does not turn on the evo yellow led. I am going to reflash and reporgram the evo again.  can you check my service number to ensure that i have the evo currently configured correctly for my aplication: 001A06254869. I am using the diesel timer on the brain. My data link option is set to fortin. Any ideas on the reason for the malfunction?

The options looks ok, make sure you have not changed the datalink protocol in your compustar, leave it default.

 

Verify connection on yellow wire in 20 pin harness make sure it is connected to the t-harness

Hi looks like my compu was not on ADS protocol, I updated it and the evo programmed ok with the red connector left out at the time.  Everything is responding like it should but I get a starting system error come up on my cluster the first time and no crank.  Door lock/unlock is working.  the starter then continues to try twice more before giving me error 8 (tach or tachless failure).  I have my compu set for diesel timer set for 12 seconds but  get the staring system error message before that.  System is set for tachless (voltage sensing).  Any ideas?

Pretty sure this has to do with unlock before start being enable. Disable unlock before start in the EVO-ALL and also in the remote starter if it's enable there to. The truck disarms when it sees the transponder + ignition.

 
The reason is because of how the factory alarm is controlled on these cars. the EVO will pulse ignition and transponder on unlock. So what's happening when you remote starter with unlock before start enabled is that the EVO is trying to do 2 things at once. It'll first want to pulse ignition and transponder since it saw the unlock command, but will also want to use the transponder for remote start a few milleseconds later.

Way to go guys, another successful install!  Initially I got the starting system error but the truck cranked and started.  I tried a few times after in between key starts and no more error notification.  Thanks again for the awesome support!
