EVO-ONE will not enter programming mode to copy PATS data for bypass

0 votes
I am working on a 1999 Ford F-150 with an EVO-ONE to act as a bypass and remote starter.

I have before gotten the ONE to start the vehilce, however the next day the box does not seem to work as a bypass anymore. I can put the key in the ignition and start the vehicle with the button on the fob (Using Fortins RF-642 remotes). I can confirm that all of my wires are correct and properly attached for the data. To fix this, i tried to re-program the bypass, and the box will not enter bypass programming. I have unpluged the box, held down the button on the box, then plugged in the 6-pin connector and the LED's on the box will not flash.

Is there an alternate way to enter this programming mode or is my box shot?

For solutions, i have access to the programmer for the EVO-ONE.

Looking at the service number the module has the bypass firmware flashed to the remote starter.

I would suggest re flashing both sides of the module. Be sure to unplug the evo before toggling between bypass and remote starter.

You can see the firmware that is incorrect here http://fortin.ca/en/support/002B03033567/

Good call. The EVO-ONE now works properly. I cannot thank yall enough on how helpfull and supportive the tech support is.

2 other questions:

1) Can i remotley shut off the vehicle after remote starting it?

2) What wires on the 20-pin connector do i wire up for the lock/unlock on my pickup/
Yes to remote stop the vehicle it is the negative buttom followed by pressing the start button.

Lock and unlock on the evo 20 pin are:

purple is the lock wire

unlock is the purple/white on the same 20 pin.
And to the truck what wires will be the lock/unlcok wires?

If there are two sets (one for driver, one for passenger i only care about the driver for now).

If your vehicle came with oem keyless, there should be a keyless module in the driver's kick panel.

Lock is Pink/Yellow

Unlock is Pink/Light Green

also some fords came with a "slam-lock"system where the doorlock system will go to sleep after 20 minutes of being locked, you will need to wire in a relay like it's shown in this photo.

There is a bad link with that picture. And my ford did not come with OEM keyless.
