Car clicking and interior lights flashing sometimes Evo-Nist 1

I have a 2009 Maxima which I installed toe forin combo 5 Evo Nist 1.  I followed along a youtube video.  I installed the unit.  The only wire I had to tap into is the keyport brown wire using the white black wire, plus obviously the harnesses.  The starter works.  When I initially installed it, it seemed to work fine.  THe lights worked on the unit as they are supposed to.  When I put pannel back on and opened the door there was a rapid clicking I couldn't tell if it was the starter or a relay, but it seemed to drain the battery quickly.  I took it out thinking there was an exposed wire.  I didn't see anything but added extra tape on everything repositioned the unit.  Put it back together seemed fine until the next day I opened the door and the same thing happened.  Any thoughts?

First I would not suggest following a youtube video.

Second I would suggest making sure that you have not pinched or broken a wire...Sounds like that's what has happened because your symptom arose after "putting everything back together"

Here is a link to the installation guide for that vehicle for further information: http://fortin.ca/download/24031/standalone_thar_nis1_keyport_v1_revk20141015.pdf

Much better to follow real instructions as appose to a youtube.

It was from an installer, I thought that might be better to illustrate without errors since it was the same make and model installing teh same unit.  I did suspect an exposed wire but I didn't see one.  That is why I took it out again, checked everything over and then noticed it the next day.  It isn't all the time, infact it's quite rare.  I went to get something out of the car when it was parked in the garage and it was doing it.    I will have to take it a part and re look at the connections.  I pasted teh link below to see if anyone has thoughts though from the wiring diagram it looks right.
