Add PKE with Push Start to 2011 Camaro

0 votes
Hey ive been wanting to add a PKE system into my 2011 Chevy Camaro, specifically this one ( http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&vxp=mtr&item=251395582840 ) ive been researching what would be the best bypass module to buy for my Push Start and I came up your Evo All Unit but wanted to make sure it would work with what i want to get. I understand to simplify installation I can get the T-HarnessGM1v2 now this PKE System has an immobilizer bypass output wire...how would that wire connect to the EVo-All system in order for my push button to bypass security and start my vehicle?? Also the wire inputs coming from the PKE system like hood status, door pin status, door unlock/lock, trunk pin etc, would those wires connect to the EVO all system or would they connect directly to the vehicle wires. Thanks!!

I wouldn't recommend using a Tharness with the EVO-ALL in this case as most of the aftermarket push start systems require modifications to the ignition harness. The T-Harness is meant for remote starters only and is not tested for aftermarket push start systems. I would check with the manufacturer of said product for proper installation.

Sounds like that output would be a (-)output normally called (-)ground-when-running. Thus, connecting the (-)Ground-when-Running of the EVO. This wire acts as a turn on when remote starting so that the eVO can do transponder bypass.

Also the wire inputs coming from the PKE system like hood status, door pin status, door unlock/lock, trunk pin etc, would those wires connect to the EVO all system or would they connect directly to the vehicle wires.

To the EVO.

ok that makes sense i didn't know what the GWR wire was for, Thanks for the info!!, just to better understand this system i studied how everything connects it appears the EVO-All communicates with the car mostly through the CAN BUS connection(hood pin, truck pin/release, doors, etc.) and ouputs that information to the aftermarket module that the customer would use??

Correct! It saves having to connect all those straight to the vehicle.
