Mazda 3 GT AT skyactive 2014 push-to start car stop when open the door

Hi,

have the starter install by the dealer.

I start the car but after that, when I want to enter the car, the inteligent key not work, the only way to unlock the car is by  starter remote, problem is , as soon as I open the door the car stop.

For me looks like a take over control problem. The dealer said is the way to work, but I found it ridiculous.

In your instalation manual for mazda 3 push to start is indicated I should start whit starter remote, access the car with inteligent key, enter the car and run.

Thank,

Ilie

Hi Illie,

An easy way to know if you should be able to unlock your doors with the intelligent key is to start the car normally, then try unlocking using the intelligent key. If it does not work then, it will not work while remote started.

The vehicle shutting down when opening the doors can be caused by a few things, but these are the 2 main reasons.

  1. If the EVO-ALL does not detect unlock, it will shut down the car (for security reasons)
  2. A lot of dealers want an OEM style remote starter and they will force a shut down when the door is opened.

In correction to my previous post....

Ellie, have the installer call us when ready. There is a firmware fix for vehicles that inhibite this.
