Evo one alarm will not activate

I turned function 14 mode 2 on on my 2014 ram. After double locking car alarm still doesn’t sound or activate after opening door from inside. Is there something I am missing? Can I not use the factory horn?

There is a 10 second arming delay. Lock doors, wait 10 seconds, open door. You must connect a siren if you want to hear the alarm.
